Facundo Cabral

Facundo Cabral was born the 22 from May of 1937 in the Silver, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Their parents were Sara and Rodolfo who already had two children. His father left the home leaving to his mother with his three children, who emigrated towards Tierra Del Fuego, the south of Argentina.

Cabral had a childhood lasts and unprotected, becoming a marginal one to the point of being locked up in reformatorio.

Soon after it is able to escape and according to account it found to God in the words of Simeón, an old vagabond.

One moves to Tandil, where it realises all type of tasks, cleaning paths or as laborer in the harvests.

In 1959 already it touched the guitar and it sang folklore, being his idols Atahualpa Yupanqui and Jose Larralde, one moves Mar del Plata, bath city to Argentina, and asks for work in a hotel, it sees it to the owner with his guitar and it gives the opportunity him to sing.

Thus its race dedicated to music began, being its first stage name “the Gasparino Indian”, his first recordings were the commercial calls and they did not have major soon repercussion, becoming Facundo Cabral.

Alberto Cortez in 1970, records “Is not De Aquí, Nor Is De Allá” and its name is known around the world, records in nine languages to sing to them of the stature as Julio Churches, Pedro Vargas and Niel Diamond among others.

Influenced in spiritual by Jesus and Ghandi, in Literature by Borges and Whitman, his life it always takes a spiritual course from constant observation to everything what it happens to him around to his, not being satisfied and so it sees and his cantautor race as takes the taking the course from the critic, inconveniencing to many.

In 1976 framed like cantautor of protest, it must leave Argentina and it is exiled in Mexico, where it continues composing and peregrinating, untiring nomad, takes to his thought and its art around the world. (esteem that has crossed 159 countries, becoming to many from them)

In 1984 space reserved for the great ones returns to Argentina with its consecrated name, where it offers a recital in the “Luna Park”, following Mar del Plata, where every night sang for six thousand people. In 1987 it filled to the stage of Soccer of Railroad the West, in Buenos Aires, with capacity for fifty thousand people.

The 5 of May of 1994 begin an international tour, where it appears in concerts next to Alberto Cortes in “You cut does not clear the Cabral” interlacing humor and poetry with the songs that have made famous to both.

In January of 1996, acting in Mar del Plata, Alberto Cortez it had to be taken part surgically due to an obstruction in the carotid, (today already restored) continuing Cabral, with the tour.

In his record heap, (noncomplete still) there are several live engravings like: “Cabralgando”, “Kicking Tins”, “the world was quite calm when I was born”, “Ferrocabral” and “the Cortez does not clear the Cabral among others” Bowl 1 and 2.

As literary author were invited to the Fair the International of Libro in Miami, where she spoke of his books, among them: “Conversations with Facundo Cabral”, “My Grandmother and I”, “Psalms”, “Borges and I”, “dreamed today that she could and can Yesterday”, and the “Notebook of Facundo”. In recognition to her constant called to La Paz and the love, in 1996 the Organization of the United Nations for the Education, Science and the Culture (UNESCO) declared “World-wide Messenger of La Paz.
